Finding Accommodation in Dubai Through the Internet

I haven't moved to Dubai yet and the the reason is partly because I don't have a place to stay. I also can't afford to go stay there during my search for accommodation so the only best solution is to look it up online.

During my search I came across a couple of useful websites that offer their users the opportunity to share their offers. People looking to buy or rent can find what people are offering to sell or let.



When I first started searching, the first website that came to mind was the Khaleej Times website - khaleejtimes.com. I think that's because it is a very popular newspaper in the UAE and I automatically assumed that there are going to be many ads in its classifieds.
The Khaleej Times classifieds has a few listings of accommodations but not as much as I would have liked it. And it doesn't get updated very often too.
And since you pay to put your ad in the paper, the accommodations advertised tend to be a little bit more expensive.
To try it out, head over to khaleejtimes.com and click on the classified tab. Choose your location and then choose the type of accommodation you are looking for and that's all there is to it.

I wasn't satisfied by the Khaleej Times classifieds so I searched some more and stumbled upon several website, some payed ones and others free. And of course I am not ready to pay for subscription in order to look for an apartment so I was looking for free websites.

Most were a bust until I found this one, www.emirates-ads.ae. This website deals with more than just accommodation but its 'properties' section is very active and amazing.
New deals come in everyday and it is free for anyone to add an ad and to surf and find what they are looking for. Whether you are looking to buy or rent an apartment, room, villa or whatever. And whether you are looking to live alone or share, you will find it all.
Keep in mind that this website is user generated, that means, people like me and you who come to visit the website are ones who keep it active. Why I say this is because if it is user generated, it means that you don't guarantee new deals everyday and you certainly don't guarantee great deals. But it is from this website that I found about three great offers. I will definitely check it out when I go to Dubai.
